Completing quests in ARC Raiders is a great way to earn rewards while discovering new locations. However, often the directions to get there are not very clear. For example, the “Celeste’s Journals” quest involves finding her writings left behind at Raider outposts on the surface. If you’re working on this quest, you might feel some déjà vu because Celeste’s instructions were also unhelpful in the earlier “Straight Record” quest.
The main challenges with “Celeste’s Journals” are how much ground you have to cover in one run and the fact that you need to successfully extract from the area. It’s a good idea to bring items like Adrenaline Shots and a Raider Hatch Key, especially if you’re doing the quest solo. These will help you reach your objectives faster and leave the battlefield safely without attracting unwanted attention at the elevator.
Location of Celeste’s Journals: Northern Outpost
- The quest mentions retrieving journals from the “northern outpost overlooking the Red Lakes,” but this name is confusing because there is no place called that on the map.
- The correct location is called Raider Outpost East. It is north of the Red Lakes and just behind the Power Generation Complex. (See the map screenshot above for details on how to find it.)
- When exploring, look for stacked journals on a cot or similar surface. The journal has yellow text that says “Search for journals” — this is how you know you’ve found the right item. Just interact with it and make sure you have enough inventory space to carry it.
Location of Celeste’s Other Journal: South Swamp Outpost
- The second journal is easier to find. The quest log states that it is at the South Swamp Outpost, which is directly west of the Water Treatment Control building.
- If you spawn on the south side of Dam Battlegrounds, it’s probably best to start here. You can complete either journal first; the order doesn’t matter.
- Keep an eye out for enemies like the Leaper, which often spawns near Water Treatment Control and the nearby elevator.
Note: Celeste’s journals do not stack in your inventory, so you will need two slots to carry both.
Once you have both journals, return to Speranza and speak with Celeste to claim your reward. Completing this quest is usually easiest on Dam Battlegrounds, since it typically has the fewest patrolling robots and fewer map conditions to worry about.
