There are four bank locations in Kairos for Borderlands 4, all situated in the main faction towns. These banks are great for storing gear, especially if your inventory gets crowded with weapons, old equipment, or class mods for different characters later in the game. You can visit physical bank vaults to deposit your items, just like in previous games. Plus, the game allows you to quickly stash guns directly from your inventory.
Whether you prefer visiting a bank or using the quick transfer system, I’ve detailed both options below. This includes all the bank locations and instructions on how to tag and send items straight to the bank.
How to send gear to the bank in Borderlands 4
Instead of traveling to a bank physically, you can transfer weapons and gear using the inventory tagging system. This makes it simple to clear out weapons you don’t want to sell but need to keep. Remember, you can also upgrade your backpack and bank storage with SDU upgrades to hold more.
Here’s how it works: Select the item you want to move, hold Square/X/RMB to open a dropdown menu, then choose the Bank filter. After tagging all items you want to store, hold L3/LS/V to send everything to the bank. Keep in mind, you won’t be able to retrieve your gear without visiting a bank location, so it’s helpful to know where they all are.
Borderlands 4 bank locations
You’ll find bank spots in all four major faction towns, marked with piggy bank icons. Here’s where to look:
- The Launchpad (The Howl, The Fadefields): Head to the building on the left when you leave the main base. The bank is pushed against the back wall on the left side.
- Carcadia (Ruined Sumplands, Carcadia Burn): Enter the main building; the bank is along the left wall with vending machines nearby.
- Belton’s Bore (The Low Leys, Terminus Range): Go to the second floor of the building; the bank is above the fast travel terminal.
- Bones of Sanctuary (Heart of the Mountain, Terminus Range): Exit the main building; the bank stands next to the stairs.
If you’re unsure where these banks are, you can fast travel to any town and activate Echo Location by pressing the D-Pad or Z on your keyboard. The game will then show a piggy bank icon on your compass, guiding you directly to the nearest bank.
Keep an eye out for current Shift Codes, which can unlock powerful weapons, and check out how long it takes to beat Borderlands 4 if you’re thinking of starting a new character to farm for more gear.
