Your Reputation in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 evolves based on your actions and interactions, influencing how NPCs respond to you. A strong Reputation can enhance your dealings, offering better prices from merchants and unlocking new quests. As a crucial but often unseen aspect of the game, it’s beneficial to nurture your Reputation early on as you embark on your journey.

You can easily monitor your Reputation level by accessing the Player Tab menu for your character. Under the section labeled “Reputation Page,” you’ll see how you stand in different territories, represented by various face icons indicating high, average, or low Reputation. Each area on KC: Deliverance 2‘s expansive map has its own Reputation rating based on your past actions there.

Understanding the Reputation System

Assist Others to Earn Respect

In KC: Deliverance 2, Henry’s Reputation can fluctuate based on your behavior in each locale, from bustling cities to quaint villages. Your Reputation will improve or decrease according to how you act in specific areas, shaping how others perceive Henry. For example, if Henry is notorious for theft in a town, his Reputation in that area will suffer.

Your Reputation is categorized among different groups, such as guards, clergy, and nobility. Committing crimes will tarnish your standing with specific groups, particularly guards, while also impacting your overall Reputation in that location. Each faction begins with a Reputation score of 100, which can be adjusted based on your behavior.

Each time you enter a new area, you can gauge your Reputation with the locals and specific communities. There are three main categories of Reputation that determine how NPCs interact with you as you navigate different civilizations:

  • Yellow Smiling Face – High Reputation
  • Orange Neutral Face – Average Reputation
  • Red Angry Face – Low Reputation

Your actions in one location can cast a shadow on your reputation in neighboring areas, meaning that if you develop a tarnished reputation in one village, it could carry over to another, even if you haven’t visited it yet. Conversely, you can cultivate a good Reputation in adjacent towns through positive actions.

Ways to Enhance Your Reputation

Perform Good Deeds and Be Kind

You can improve your Reputation by engaging in good deeds wherever you go. Being courteous and helpful to others can significantly boost your standing, but there are additional specific tasks that can further enhance your Reputation. Following the law generally helps maintain a decent Reputation.

To improve or restore a low Reputation, consider these helpful actions:

  • Rescue individuals during random encounters
  • Defeat bandits roaming the roads
  • Craft and distribute useful items or potions
  • Hunt dangerous wildlife
  • Mend disputes between villagers
  • Pay merchants beyond their asking price
  • Sell items for less than their true worth
  • Use persuasion instead of intimidation
  • Return the favor to NPCs who reward you for quests

While parts of KC: Deliverance 2‘s narrative may lead you to commit crimes or act unlawfully, intentionally harming others will have a negative impact on your Reputation. Completing main or side quests is an excellent way to improve your Reputation, especially early on, as fostering positive relationships with others contributes to spreading the word of your good deeds.

If your Reputation tanked in several locations, consider embarking on a pilgrimage or seeking indulgence at a church to absolve your sins and recover your standing.

Be cautious: trespassing, pickpocketing, lockpicking, and murder can easily degrade your Reputation, so try to avoid these actions unless absolutely necessary. Remember that nurturing good relationships will eventually benefit you, such as negotiating better prices with merchants. Maintaining good health and grooming will also contribute positive bonuses to your Reputation.

Having a strong Reputation can unlock additional opportunities with specific factions or locations, leading to increased income possibilities or enticing new questlines. In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, it’s essential to continually work on your Reputation as you strive to become a well-respected figure across the realm.
