“Call of Duty” returns with a full story mode for “Black Ops 7,” featuring Hollywood actor Milo Ventimiglia as David Mason. The campaign feels more like traditional Call of Duty missions, though it’s quite different from other games in the series.
In this story, Mason and his team deal with a substance similar to fear toxin, like what Scarecrow uses in the Batman series. The journey is intense, especially as players find themselves fighting enemies that look like zombies in certain parts of the campaign.

What Happens at the End of Black Ops 7?
Throughout the game, David Mason is focused on taking down The Guild, particularly a resurrected Raul Menendez, who aims to cause global destruction. Mason and his squad, called Specter One, confront hallucinations caused by a chemical toxin under The Guild’s control. They reach The Guild’s headquarters, destroy it, save the world, and capture the CEO, Emma Kagan. Everything seems peaceful—until a brief sneak peek hints that more trouble is coming.
At the very end, a new character named Alden Dorne is introduced. Dorne appears to have full control over The Guild’s weapons, with robots nearby. Though many details about Dorne are still unclear, it seems he will play a bigger role in future stories, much like Jackson Caine did in the previous game, Black Ops 6. This setup suggests he’ll be a major figure in upcoming seasons.
How Will the Ending Connect to Endgame?
We’re likely to see a seasonal story continue in the game’s Endgame mode, which allows players to keep the story going through an extraction-style sandbox gameplay. Treyarch has said they will update Endgame over time, possibly revealing more story elements. The tease of Dorne at the end strongly indicates that more story developments are on the way with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
