Don’t Be Afraid to Reroll
At the start of the game, A-Q will guide you through a tutorial before you can begin pulling for Magical Girls and Kioku. These characters have star rankings that reflect their rarity and stats.
You will begin with a five-star character and two four-star characters, but if they aren’t what you want, consider rerolling. If you’re aiming for a specific girl or think you’ve wasted resources, restarting the game to try again is an option.
You Don’t Have to Spread Out Your Combat Roles

Enemies must have their seals broken before you can damage them effectively. Start with a Break from your Breaker’s Special Attack, then follow up with your Attacker.
Use Special Attacks As Much As Possible
Madoka Magica Magia Exedra has a lot to teach you about combat. One crucial lesson from the tutorial is that Special Attacks are vital for winning battles.
The damage from Special Attacks varies by role: Breakers deal more Break damage, Attackers deliver extra damage, and so on. Check your characters’ Special Attacks when forming your battle team!
Your party shares the SP needed for these moves, so you must perform standard attacks between Special Attacks to recharge. If you’re low on points, use a regular attack to build them up.
It’s best to save points for Breakers and Attackers whenever possible, especially early in the game.
Make Time to Train Characters
At the start of Madoka Magica Magia Exedra, focus on completing main story missions for gems and rewards. To make progress easier, you can train Kioku between missions.
These quests help upgrade your girls, providing essential boosts before you have a full roster of strong characters. You’ll need to complete additional battles to gather materials for upgrades, but it will pay off when your girls become stronger!
You can also level up your characters using A-Q Points, gaining experience from fights outside the tutorial. By upgrading levels, magic levels, and stats, your girls will become even more powerful. Keep checking in so they remain strong. If you use the same characters often, prioritize leveling them up first.
Plan Which Portraits You Have Equipped
As you complete main quests, you’ll earn Portraits. These are key moments from the show and provide buff stats when equipped.
Portraits can enhance HP, attack, and defense for all five team members. Each character can use one portrait, and while the auto-party option will assign them, it’s better to manually equip them to ensure each girl receives the most beneficial buff.
Whale On Free Banners, Decide On Paid Banners
In Madoka Magica Magia Exedra, there are two types of gems: Free Gems, earned through gameplay, and Paid Gems, which require real money. Free Gems can be used for banners and come from story milestones and collecting new girls.
Some banners require Paid Gems, so think about which characters you want before spending money. Nevertheless, you’ll still find great characters from Free Gem banners, making it worthwhile to pull when good banners are active.
