Beginner Tips for Completing and Solving Dungeon Stalkers

Dungeon Stalkers is a tense game where each run is a balance between taking risks and earning rewards. You’ll navigate through cursed labyrinths filled with monsters, traps, and rival Stalkers, all while trying to gather loot and escape before your armor breaks or your health runs out. Winning depends not just on combat skills, but also on smart planning, staying aware of your surroundings, and knowing when to push forward or back off.

For new players, the game can be tough at first, particularly because of its combined player versus player and environment (PvPvE) mode that mixes fighting other players with dungeon dangers. It’s important to learn how to handle fights, manage gear, and stay alert for ambushes. These early strategies can be crucial—they might mean the difference between escaping with treasure or losing everything to a rival Stalker.

Start with easier modes first. Don’t jump straight into full PvP matches. Begin with Adventure Mode (PvE only) or Quick Battle to practice without heavy penalties. In Solo or Trio Quick Battle modes, you won’t lose your gear if you die—only what you’ve collected during that run—making it a good way to learn the game and gather basic loot. Adventure Mode allows you to coop through dungeons with no enemy players, which helps you understand the mechanics and accumulate gold and relics before facing real opponents.

Between dungeon runs, make sure to upgrade and utilize your Hideout. Use the resources you gather to craft new weapons and armor at the Workshop, and improve facilities like Storage or the Shop to make crafting more efficient. Managing your inventory and gear carefully is important—your character shares an item bank across all your characters, so a good bow found by your knight can be stored for your archer later, which can prove useful in future runs.

In the game, there are vendors in your Hideout where you can buy gear, and facilities you can upgrade using materials found in dungeons. Use stealth and darkness to your advantage: destroy light sources like torches or lamps to create shadows, sneak around to ambush enemies or opponents, or use invisibility potions for quick escapes. The dungeons are dark for a reason, and staying hidden often offers the better chance for survival.

If you prefer stealthy characters like Rio or Shinobu, leverage their abilities—Rio can turn invisible and scout through walls with his ultimate. Sneaking in the shadows can often help you win fights without taking damage. Focus on breaking enemies’ armor because once it’s gone, they become very vulnerable. On your turn, concentrate efforts on wearing down their armor, then finish them off when they’re weak. To protect yourself, keep your armor in good shape—low durability makes you more likely to be shredded quickly. Use Temporary Repair Kits from the Adventurer’s Shop or choose armor with higher durability to stay safe.

Be prepared for the Witch’s Curse, a random system that adds modifiers to each run. Every five minutes, a new curse appears, which might spawn extra monsters, cause elemental effects, or open portals to bosses or escapes. Pay attention to on-screen alerts and the countdown timer. Some curses are neutral or even beneficial—like lowering gravity or weakening enemies—so clever players can sometimes turn these curses to their advantage by using them to outwit opponents or find alternate escape routes.

Upgrade your runes regularly. Between runs, use your earnings to level up rune slots at your Hideout’s Rune Screen with Adventure Tokens. You can obtain runes by defeating elite dungeon bosses, investigating green pillars in the dungeon, inspecting armored bodies with purple effects, or completing weekly and daily events. These runes enhance your abilities and allow you to tailor your build. Remember, each rune requires individual tokens to upgrade and switch-in; prioritize ones that support your chosen playstyle or fill in your weaknesses.

Don’t stay in the dungeon too long out of greed. If you’ve accumulated decent loot or resources are running low, find a blue portal or escape shrine to leave safely. Be aware that other players can use these before you do, especially in PvP. The longer you linger, the greater the risk. The Witch’s Curse can suddenly cut off your escape routes or spawn waves of monsters, making it vital to exit before you’re overwhelmed. Successful extraction means you keep your loot and can come back stronger.

Keep watch for other Stalkers, even in PvE. The game is PvPvE, so other players can arrive and attack. Always stay alert and plan your exits—use blue escape portals or shrines shown on your map to leave when needed. Even when fighting bots, area-of-effect attacks like poison or fire bombs can harm anyone caught in the blast, so use these tactically—blocking escape portals or defending loot with strategic attacks can turn the tide of the game.

Gather crafting materials early. Destroy barrels, vases, and boxes in dungeons to find scraps like wood, resin, and cloth. Use the Alchemist’s exchange to trade lower-grade resources for better ones, and open resource boxes from rewards to stockpile essentials. Some dungeons have glowing blue ore—mine these carefully because they contain gems used in crafting, but beware of goblins and dangerous monsters lurking around.

Don’t overlook the statues scattered inside dungeon rooms. Some hold red swords, others glow with blue crystals. Interacting with these boosts your stats temporarily—red swords increase attack power, and blue crystals refill health and mana. Timing your interactions, especially when under pressure or before tough fights, can give you a decisive edge.

Always remember, in Dungeon Stalkers, quick decisions save you. Know when to fight, when to hide, and when to escape. Use darkness wisely, manage your gear, and plan your routes carefully. The game rewards smart, cautious play just as much as quick reflexes.
