If you’re on the hunt for the Ancient Memories in Avowed, you’ve come to the right place. Locating these Ancient Memories will grant you powerful Godlike abilities, making the effort to find them worthwhile. Additionally, these memories offer you a deeper understanding of Sapadal’s history, aiding you in making the best choices in the game.

Each region in Avowed contains one Ancient Memory. This includes The Garden, so take your time in this last area to ensure you uncover everything you need. Most of these Ancient Memories are situated near significant landmarks and quests, allowing for easier returns if you overlook them during your first exploration.

Locating the Ancient Memory in Dawnshore

Tracking the Ancient Memory in Dawnshore with a Side Quest

The first Ancient Memory is also the simplest to find. After spending a few nights in Dawnshore, you will have a dream visit from Sapadal, who will recount one of their memories from the area. This prompts the addition of the quest titled “The Call of the Past” to your log. I followed this quest, which led me straight to the Dawnshore Ancient Memory location.

The memory can be found just east of The Rise Party Camp, making it easy to reach. Once at the camp, look for a stone archway with a large tree root extending into it to the east. Walk through the archway to enter the memory area. Be prepared for combat, as some skeletons will attack as soon as you finish watching the memory.

Viewing the memory unlocks the Godlike Ability, Remembrance of Kishamal, which passively boosts your maximum Health by 10%. Each memory you collect bestows a different Godlike Ability with a stat enhancement, making it beneficial to gather them all, especially as it influences Avowed‘s critical endgame decisions.

Finding the Ancient Memory in Emerald Stair

Emerald Stair’s Memory at the Ranger Outpost

The Ancient Memory in Emerald Stair is located at the top of the Ranger Outpost in The Wildwoods. This outpost has its own fast-travel point, making it easier to return if you missed the memory earlier. If you’re unsure of its location, the Ranger Outpost is situated across the river, west of Fior. When you find the Low Forest Clearing Beacon, there will be a tall tree with some structures around it where you can begin your ascent from the northeast side.

Climb up the ladders and continue following the linear path through the structure until you reach the top. Here, you will find the memory, which will also mark your map. Watching this memory grants you the Remembrance of Enhekala, giving a 10% increase to your maximum Essence.

Locating the Ancient Memory in Shatterscarp

Accessing Shatterscarp’s Memory Through Chieftan Grithan’s Bounty

pick up the bounty on Chieftan Grithan at Thirdborn. Alternatively, you can travel east from the city’s entrance into the Great Sand Sea.

Stay closer to the coastline until you spot a large rock pillar adorned with Xaurip paintings and structures. A winding ramp on the east side will lead you up the rock.

Be cautious of a broken bridge you’ll need to jump across, but from there the route remains clear.

Follow the winding path up the rock until you reach a camp where you must face Chieftan Grithan. After defeating him, look for a higher peak on the south side of the rock pillar. A path starts on the west side, leading you to the memory. This memory offers the Godlike Ability Remembrance of Nimanna, which boosts your maximum Stamina by 10%.

Galawain’s Tusk Ancient Memory Location

Finding Galawain’s Tusk Memory in the Slumbering Fields

The Ancient Memory for Galawain’s Tusk is located in the Slumbering Fields, far to the west on the map. The easiest way to reach this region and the memory is by completing the “Boundaries of Antiquity” side quest. While it isn’t a requirement, this quest will guide you very close to the memory’s location. Once you reach the quest’s instruction to clear the blocked Aqueduct, you can spot the memory from the ridge you’re on.

To obtain the memory, navigate through a spider-infested cave located north of it. Fight through the cave, and you’ll arrive at a small ridge where the memory is visible. This memory rewards you with the Remembrance of Maru ability, enhancing your attack damage by 10%.

The Garden’s Ancient Memory

The Garden Memory Is Beyond the Point of No Return

The last Ancient Memory is found in The Garden. While you can collect the previous memories in any order, this one is positioned past Avowed‘s point of no return, meaning it should be the final one you seek if you want to gather them all. It’s easy to overlook this memory, so be sure to explore paths outside of the main quest markers.

You can find the memory once you enter the Broken Aqueduct area of The Garden. After eliminating any enemies in the vicinity, Sapadal will utilize their power to lift pieces of the broken structure, allowing you to climb higher and continue your quest. Before you ascend, search for a door marked by a glowing purple sphere above it. Enter the door to discover the final Ancient Memory overlooking a vast area.

The memory confers the Remembrance of Sapadal, which continuously restores your health when it’s below 50%. This Godlike Ability is particularly beneficial since it mitigates health-draining effects like poison. This last memory is potentially the most crucial for guiding your final choices in the game, making it essential to experience.
