Baldur’s Gate 3 offers a vast, detailed world full of discoveries. You can spend hours exploring and still find new, surprising things. One notable detail occurs in the first act, involving the Hag.
Auntie Ethel, also known as the Hag living in the teahouse west of the Emerald Grove, has an unusual living situation. Her house connects to a cave system and an underground lair, where you can find some interesting brewing ingredients and potions toward the end.
All Of Auntie Ethel’s Hag Potion Effects
After navigating her lair and dealing with Auntie Ethel, you’ll find a room filled with various items. Besides the more obvious rewards like the Bitter Divorce wand and the Staff of Crones, there are many oddly named potions. These potions each have unique effects, many of which are negative.
Many of these potions are more for experimentation than practical use. They generally don’t sell for much gold, and most aren’t very useful. The few that might be somewhat helpful are Heart of Stone, Broken Promises, and A Mother’s Loathing, but their usefulness is limited and situational.
How To Remove Curses
Some of the potions listed above impose curses. These curses can sometimes be removed by taking a long rest, but others require the Remove Curse spell. This spell can be learned by Clerics, Paladins, Wizards,, and Warlocks and is a Level 3 spell. Using it can lift curses caused by certain potions or effects.
