Celeste enjoys sending you on missions across the Dam Battlegrounds in ARC Raiders, though she often gives vague directions. In the quest “Keeping the Memory,” she asks you to check on a memorial for those who were lost during the First Wave of ARC’s invasion. The first objective is to reach the wreckage in the Formicai Hills. If you zoom out all the way on the map, you’ll see that the Formicai Hills stretch across the southern part of Dam Battlegrounds. Zooming in shows that the wreckage is labeled on the map.
The map indicates a blue marker showing the exact location you need—west of the Testing Annex and south of Research & Administration. The wreckage is a huge spider-like robot called a Baron husk, which has collapsed and is rusting in the forest.
Where to find the missing helmet and where to place it on the memorial
The next step is to find a missing helmet. It’s hidden in a nearby bush, which is shown in the picture above. Just walk up to the bush and interact to pick up the helmet. After that, go to the memorial, which looks like a pole sticking out of the ground nearby. Place the helmet on the memorial at the spot shown in the picture, on the right side of the screen (the helmet already appears in this spot in the screenshot).
When you reach the wreckage, there’s a chance the helmet will already be on the memorial, or it might not be there anymore. This is a known issue where the helmet is a server-side object—once someone moves it onto the memorial, others will not be able to do the same. You might need to try again if that happens. If you successfully return the helmet, head back to Speranza and talk to Celeste to receive your reward.
“Keeping the Memory” can be finished without extracting from the raid, so even if you get knocked out early, you can still complete the quest as long as you finish the objectives. For a quick finish, consider taking only adrenaline shots with you so you can run straight to the wreckage and complete the quest efficiently.
