Arc Raiders is a fast-paced, competitive shooter where players face off against hostile enemies, including aggressive human opponents and dangerous Arc robots. The weapons you bring into each raid are crucial—they can determine whether you succeed or fail. Because each gun has specific strengths and situations where it works best, ranking them by overall power can be challenging.
However, we can evaluate guns based on some important factors, mainly affordability and versatility. These give us a good idea of how useful and strong each weapon is. For beginners, check out our starter loadout guide to get started quickly.

- Very rare guns such as Bobcat, Tempest, Bettina, Jupiter.
S-Tier Weapons
This is a detailed look at the top weapons in the game.
Ferro
The Ferro is widely regarded as the best starting weapon. It’s a bolt-action rifle that packs a punch, is affordable to upgrade, and simple to handle. It uses Heavy Ammo and is perfect for headshots and taking out Arc enemies, especially at mid to late game. Sometimes, it comes equipped with a free loadout.

Anvil
The Anvil is a powerful revolver that is user-friendly and often found in higher-tier areas. It shares similarities with the Ferro but shoots faster, although it’s a bit harder to aim. It is highly effective against Arc and enemies trying to fight you directly.

Il Toro
The Il Toro shotgun is a common early-game find and excels at close range. Attaching a choke increases its effectiveness at medium distances. It’s ideal for tight spaces and high-loot buildings.

Renegade
This mid-range weapon is extremely powerful. It’s harder to find but can be crafted once you reach level 2 Gunsmith. It has a rapid fire rate similar to a Ferro but with less damage per shot, destroying enemies quickly once upgraded.

Arpeggio
Often overlooked, the Arpeggio is a burst-fire assault rifle. It’s decent at medium range and melts enemies with attachments. Better than the Ferro and more accurate than the Rattler, it offers versatility.

Vulcano
A phenomenal shotgun, Vulcano combines the firepower of Il Toro but with twice the damage. It’s semi-automatic, allowing for rapid shots that melt targets at close range. Rarity makes it a valuable find.

A-Tier Weapons
While still very good, these weapons don’t quite reach the top tier. They include:
- Kettle: A strong starter weapon that becomes more lethal when upgraded with attachments, capable of shredding shields with semi-automatic fire.
- Stitcher: An excellent close-range SMG that benefits greatly from extended magazines. It’s effective for armor-shredding and quick attacks.
- Venator: A cheap secondary that fires two bullets at once. When equipped with attachments, it becomes versatile for surprising opponents.
- Torrente: An LMG that deals substantial damage but is bulky and best used when crouching. It’s less agile but devastating at close to medium range.
Images of these weapons highlight their design and gameplay.
B-Tier Weapons
- Hairpin
- Burletta
- Rattler
These guns are decent but generally outperformed by higher-tier options.
In summary, the best weapons in Arc Raiders are those that balance power, ease of use, and situational versatility. The S-tier guns are recommended for most players striving for maximum efficiency, while the others provide options depending on your playstyle and available resources.
