ARC Raiders: Complete Flickering Flames - Materials, Locations & Tips

The first big seasonal event for ARC Raiders is here, offering lots of new items, quests, and two fresh event types for players to enjoy. In addition, a new project has been added that you can work on by using your earned resources.

Since the previous trial season just ended, the Flickering Flames event is a great chance to come back and farm for rewards. This event also kicks off the next XP challenge leading to Stella Montis. By playing and completing different challenges during Flickering Flames, you can unlock many free rewards and cosmetic items worth the effort.

All Flickering Flames Phase 1 Requirements & Rewards

Unlike the Expedition Project, each level in this event gives instant rewards for donating resources. These include individual items, event XP, Raider Tokens, and save-up items for the upcoming deck update. The first set of item requirements is the easiest, with the first three items being common enough to find or craft without much hassle.

The new collectible here is Candleberries, a nature item introduced in this event. You can passively earn some through the Gathering Candleberries activity, which gives you a total of 180 after earning 11,400 merits. To reach the 260 Candleberries needed for the Flickering Flames project, you’ll also need to gather them from berry bushes during maps with the Cold Snap effect, being careful of the Frostbite effect.

You can find Candleberries in locations like the Grove in Buried City or in picnic baskets during the Lush Blooms event.

All Flickering Flames Phase 2 Requirements & Rewards

Some of these items are a bit more challenging but familiar if you’ve played ARC Raiders before. Besides collecting more Candleberries, you’ll need more Candleholders from residential areas.

Industrial Batteries are lootable in normal maps, with Dam Battlegrounds having guaranteed spawns for Light Bulbs, making it a good farming spot. The Blueprints, especially for the Red Light Stick, spawn more frequently in maps with the Cold Snap effect.

All Flickering Flames Phase 3 Requirements & Rewards

This phase ramps up the difficulty with more demanding items like Film Reels, which are rare spawns in Residential or Old World areas. Good spots include the Town Hall in Buried City or the Stella Montis archives.

You can buy Duct Tape and Snap Blast Grenades from Traders in Speranza at low prices, but Celeste will only trade seeds for her crafting materials.

All Flickering Flames Phase 4 Requirements & Rewards

This stage requires looting at least 10 Fireballs from Fireball ARC enemies, which is easier if you loot them during scavenging runs. You also need to find Coffee Pots and Water Filters in specific locations.

Coffee Pots are common in residential areas like the south-east of Buried City. Water Filters are more likely to spawn in Dam Battlegrounds or Blue Gate.

All Flickering Flames Phase 5 Requirements & Rewards

The final level needs seven Mushrooms, which are rare spawns mainly in nature or during Lush Blooms events in baskets or nature spots.

If you’ve already collected the 260 Candleberries for the Flickering Flames Banquet, your next step is to find Music Albums, which can be looted from high-rarity residential areas like those for Film Reels.

While completing the entire Flickering Flames project doesn’t give extra rewards, it gives you a strong head start for the new live event. The final reward also includes the first Raider Tool skin in ARC Raiders history.
