Players eagerly anticipate the monthly reveal of PS Plus Essential free games, but the April 2026 lineup comes with a delay. Unlike previous months, subscribers will need to wait a bit longer before these games are available.
Typically, Sony announces the PS Plus Essential lineup on the last Wednesday of the month, with the games becoming accessible on the first Tuesday of the following month. Since April’s first Tuesday falls on the 7th, the games won’t be available right at the start of the month as usual.
The exact date for the April free games announcement depends on Sony. It might happen today, as it’s the last Wednesday of March, but there’s also a chance the reveal could be pushed back to next Wednesday, April 1.
On a positive note, one of the upcoming free titles has already been leaked. As reported earlier, the 2023 PS5 action RPG Lords of the Fallen is expected to be part of April’s lineup.
