Weaponry is crucial in StarRupture for surviving the spider attacks during your gameplay. When you first arrive in Arcadia-7, you won’t have any weapons, but there are ways to defend yourself until you can unlock some.
Eventually, you’ll gain access to a basic pistol and then more powerful weapons as the enemies grow stronger. Here’s a guide on how to unlock weapons, what’s available, and the best loadouts to consider.
How to Unlock All Weapons
Your first weapon is the UPP-7 Reaper Pistol, which you unlock by completing the second contract for Griffits Blue Corporation. Your secondary weapon at this stage is grenades, which are unlocked at level 3 with the same company.
These weapons, combined with your harvester, will keep you safe from smaller spiders until you reach the Equipment Upgrade Station — the place where you can purchase new guns and upgrades using War Bonds.
You can unlock the Equipment Upgrade Station by completing the level 4 contract with Griffits Blue Corporation.
War Bonds are earned by completing contracts or found in abandoned stations around Arcadia-7. You also use them to unlock weapon modifications (add-ons) before crafting your gear.
All Weapons and Add-Ons
In StarRupture, there are four main weapons: a pistol, rifle, shotgun,, and machine gun. Plus, you have your harvester to fend off smaller enemies, but it isn’t effective against large swarms.
Each weapon, aside from the pistol, can be customized with add-ons like magazines, stocks, and sights. These upgrades cost War Bonds and are available at the Equipment Upgrade Station, or you can craft them using Basic Building Materials.

Add-Ons
Weapons come with basic add-ons unlocked initially, but you can upgrade them at the Equipment Upgrade Station. Some of these require War Bonds and are crafted with Basic Building Materials.

- Barrel Add-Ons: Short Barrel, Cooled Barrel
- Magazine Add-Ons: Extended Mag, Piercing Mag
- Stock Add-Ons: Gyro Stock, Lightweight Stock
- Sight Add-Ons: CCS Sight, 3X Optic
Ammo and Crafting
Ammo types are created at the Basic Item Printer:
- Pistol Ammo: Basic Materials
- Standard Ammo: Basic Materials + Wolfram Powder
- Shotgun Ammo: Basic Materials + Calcium Powder
- Heavy Ammo: Basic Materials + Titanium Rod
