Spells are a way to overpower your enemies in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Your skill with these magic effects will determine whether you survive or fall in battle. Often, spells will be your last line of defense before defeat.

As you search for spells, it’s important to read their descriptions carefully and consider whether they suit your playstyle. Do you want to build a frost-focused character? Or prefer melee combat and only use spells to buff yourself? Whatever your preference, finding and learning each spell will benefit your journey.

What You Need To Know About Spells

Spells are magical effects cast using Skyborn Might. Their functions and the stats they depend on vary. To understand the stats associated with a spell, remember that each falls into one of three categories:

Spell Type	Description
Magic	Deals damage based on the Magic stat
Feathering	Deals damage based on the Feathering stat
Others	Includes buff spells with no damage and no stat scaling

Each spell has its own casting time and unique effects, so always read their descriptions thoroughly before using them.

While you can equip up to four spells at once, it’s best to stick to two during combat. Switching mid-fight can cause misclicks and may lead you to miss crucial moments.

There are 40 spells in total, but no achievement rewards collecting all of them. Collecting spells is mainly for those who want to expand their magic options or enjoy completing the game’s content. We’ve listed all spells in the order they appear in the game:

Act One Spells

Vorpal Blade: Casts two magic blades; found on a corpse at Buddha Cliffs en route to Mao’s boss fight.
Echo of Dhutanga: Creates a fiery glaive for spinning attack; reward for defeating Man-Eating Dhutanga.
Divine Ward: Reduces all incoming damage temporarily; bought from the Panda merchant for 3 Bamboo Shoots.
Infernal Flames: Launch a fire mask seeking the target, building Burn; reward after defeating torch miniboss in Annalum.
Echo of Lu Hongliu: Emits a shriek dealing Feathering damage and causing Despair; reward for defeating Lu Hongliu.
Echo of Lu Bingzhang: Jump and fire a Feathering spear, gaining brief Alacrity; reward for defeating Lu Bingzhang.
Echo of the Great Centipede: Summons a damage-over-time magic circle with lasers; reward for defeating Blightweaver.
Divine Might: Boost next attack’s damage; gift from the Red-Clad Lady at Doomwillow Beach.
Burning Flames: Fire three fireballs forward, building Burn; find near Soulwood after climbing a ladder during a quest.
Echo of Soulwood: Hurl gore dealing Feathering damage and causing Corruption; reward for defeating Soulwood.
Corruptive Flames: Create orbiting Corruption orbs that swarm the target; bought from Wu Gang.
Aurum Feather Force: Firing a golden blade dealing Magic damage when buffed with Alacrity; found on a corpse at Palace Hill Shrine.

Darkfrost Flames: Shoots Frostbite mask and lingering mist; reward after defeating torch demon miniboss.
Thunderstorm: Call lightning in a line; dropped by an enemy by Rebel Camp.
Echo of Ai Nengqi: Creates an electric bow firing charged arrows; reward for defeating Ai Nengqi.
Echo of Liu Cheng’en: Swirl an icy spear around to build Frostbite; reward for defeating Liu Cheng’en.
Waspomancy: Follow-target green wasp balls increasing Blight; found on Huang Yan’s desk in Snowfall Palace.
Echo of Huang Yan: Rise into the air, summon purple wasps causing Corruption; reward for defeating Huan Yan.
Echo of Fang Ling: Deploy a gas explosion; reward for defeating Fang Ling.

Act Three Spells

Lotus Soulflame: Create a lotus that explodes raining magic; found after reaching Battlefield Pass on a corpse.
Echo of the Bo Sorcerer: Ice crystal wave attack; reward for defeating Bo Sorcerer.
Divine Blessing: Heal over time in a ground circle; received from the Red-Clad Lady by the Avian Dwelling.
Plume Vortex: Send a gust projectile upward; found near Bo Sorcerer’s arena.
Ethereal Form: Become invisible and more evasive; found in Zhenwu temple courtyard under special conditions.
Lotus Lantern: Generate a spinning lotus to target enemies; purchasable from Wu Gang.
Cinder Incantation: Burst of flames that grants Alacrity and Burn; purchasable from Wu Gang.
Echo of Zhang Xianzhong: Leap and slam with lightning; obtained after defeating the Fierce Tiger.
Heavenly Thunder: Strike lightning on a point, with fans for extra damage; found in a cave near Ferry Overlook.
Demonbane Strike: Forward feathered spear attack; found behind Bai Mansion shrine.
Echo of Bai Kru: Water line attack after jumping back; obtained by defeating Bai Kru.

Act Four Spells

Polygonal Container: Create a glowing orb by slamming the ground; given after helping the storyteller.
Echo of Honglan: Summon a wings and feathers; prize from defeating Honglan.
Spiritual Flames: Purple line forward; found near Palace Entrance shrine.
Echo of the Bo Magus: Damage-negating barrier; reward for defeating the Bo Magus.
Crimson Edge Incantation: Quick Feathering blades healing on hits; found at the Taoist’s table in Reverent Temple.
Echo of Zhu Youjian: Hovering cube that absorbs spells and releases skyborn Might; reward after defeating the Dragon Emperor.

Wuchang’s Polygonal Container: Light orb slamming; given after helping the storyteller.
Echo of Zhao Yun: Summon sword and call lightning strike; reached after defeating Zhao Yun in the Bo Capital.
Call of the Wild: Summon birds to attack; bought from Wu Gang.
Golden Scepter: Fire projectiles with the scepter; found in Bo Capital depths, obtained by talking to the Storyteller.
Echo of Xuanyangzi: Dodge and lunge with a greatsword, launching projectiles; obtained by defeating Xuanyangzi.
Echo of the Flying Fortress: Summon a shield wall that explodes; reward for defeating the Flying Fortress.

Act Six Spells

Lotus Soulflame: Summon lotus explosion with rain; exploration-based spell.
Echo of the Bat Spirit: Summon bats for damage; reward after defeating the Bat Spirit.
Crown of the Sky: Summons a crown that boosts attack; obtained from the Sky Palace.
Echo of the Phoenix: Revive upon death with flames; found in the Phoenix’s nest.
Skyward Surge: Rapid upward attack; unlocked through story progression.
Echo of the Dragon: Summon a dragon for devastating damage; reward for defeating the Dragon King.
