If you’re diving into Obsidian Entertainment’s newest RPG, Avowed, you’ll quickly notice a wide array of character abilities as soon as you start playing. While many abilities are straightforward, there are also 11 hidden Godlike powers that you can unlock. Each of these abilities can significantly influence your gameplay style in Avowed, depending on how you choose to build your character.

In Avowed, you’ll naturally unlock Godlike abilities as you navigate through the main storyline. Typically, the option to unlock these powers will be clear, and you should take advantage of them whenever possible to enhance your character’s strength, particularly when facing tougher foes and bosses. Stealth Attacks, Area Effects, and More

There’s a Godlike ability suited for every character type. From personal experience, I can confirm that Divine Thorn is a powerful early-game attack that scales well into the late game when paired with critical hit enhancements. Other abilities, like Thorn of Sapadal, serve as fantastic area-of-effect crowd control, making them particularly useful for Rangers. Severed Branch is excellent for quick escapes and speed boosts, and Remembrance of Sapadal shines with Fighter builds. Though you may not use Sapadal’s Fury frequently, when you do, it’ll make a real impact on your enemies.

Dream Touch, while effective, is a bit situational. However, it becomes noticeably better when replaced with the impactful Seeds of Vengeance. The Remembrance abilities have clear uses: if you’re playing as a Wizard, you will want Remembrance of Enhekala. Fighters may find Remembrance of Kishamal, Nimanna, and Maru appealing, while Rangers typically lean towards Remembrance of Maru, though it ultimately depends on your specific build.

The decisions you make will shape the history of the Living Lands and provide a deeper understanding of Sandapal, while also unlocking Godlike abilities.
