All Pargrun Cache Sites and Their Unique Treasures Inside

The map of Avowed is packed with treasures for players who love to explore, and the Pargrun Caches are among the best spots to discover them. These caches are designated locations on the map where the Pargrunen, residents of Solace Keep, have stashed away valuable items. Each cache typically contains at least one unique item, making them worth a visit whether you’re looking for powerful gear or items to sell or dismantle.

Unlike other collectibles in Avowed, like Ancient Memories or Starmetal, there isn’t a specific quest that will guide you to the Pargrun Caches. You’ll need to find them on your own and solve any puzzles they may contain to access their loot. Once you discover a cache, it will appear on your map. They can be somewhat plain from the outside, so you might have already passed some without realizing; it’s a good idea to check your map occasionally.

Finding the Pargrun Cache in Dawnshore

Dawnshore’s Pargrun Cache Is Close to The Strangleroot

To reach the Pargrun Cache in Dawnshore, fast travel to the Overgrown Expanse Party Camp. This location is one of the first camps you encounter, situated near The Strangleroot where an early quest occurs. At the camp, cross the bridge to the east that spans a river. Ahead of you, you’ll see a stone structure surrounded by several red explosive barrels—this is the Pargrun Cache.

This cache is fairly easy to loot because it lacks any puzzles. Simply shoot the barrels outside to create an opening. Once inside, make sure to climb as high as you can to gather the best loot. There’s a gold treasure chest located near the top within another stone structure. You can also climb the scaffolding to access a nest in the back that contains a Woedica artifact.

Finding the Pargrun Cache in Emerald Stair

Emerald Stair’s Pargrun Cache Is West of the Ranger Outpost

The easiest way to locate the Emerald Stair Pargrun Cache is by fast traveling to the Low Forest Clearing Beacon near the Ranger Outpost. From there, walk to the tree on the north side that houses the outpost, then turn west. Proceed straight ahead, and you’ll come across a stone archway on your path. Go through the arch, and you’ll find the Pargrun Cache. Look for an entrance in the buildings, and head down to the basement where the loot awaits.

You’ll encounter some fragile walls and gates that require electricity to open. Make sure to break through all walls and open every gate to uncover everything the cache has to offer. If you’re struggling to find the electrical boxes, they are often visible through cracks in nearby walls. If you’re not using magic, I recommend grabbing Caeroc’s Pride pistol for these puzzles, which allows you to shoot electric switches to activate them (you can get this pistol from the Dawnshore bounty on Tempestuous Luandi).

Finding the Pargrun Cache in Shatterscarp

Shatterscarp’s Pargrun Cache Is a Large Building in Shark’s Teeth

The Shatterscarp Pargrun Cache is easy to spot from outside because it’s one of the largest structures in the Shark’s Teeth region. Fast travel to the Shark’s Teeth Party Camp, which is situated right outside the entrance to Ryngrim’s Domain in Avowed. From there, follow the stone walkway to discover the elevated sections of Shark’s Teeth.

Continue along the path toward the large stone structure that has big double doors. This is the Pargrun Cache for this area. Inside, you’ll find various loot, including a gold chest hidden behind a gate with no obvious way to unlock it. You’ll need to ascend a few floors to locate the manager’s office, which is found through a hole in the wall directly above the chest. Turn the large wheel in the office to unlock the gate.

If you have trouble climbing back up to the hole, there’s an elevator from the main floor that can take you back to the entrance. When jumping into the area, try to land on one of the crossbeams to minimize fall damage and offer a better view for your next move.

Finding the Pargrun Cache in Galawain’s Tusks

Galawain’s Tusks’ Pargrun Cache Is in the Northern Part of the Map

The fastest way to access the Pargrun Cache in Galawain’s Tusks is to fast travel to the Primordial Depths North Beacon. If you haven’t discovered it yet, head directly north from Solace Keep, where you first met Mihala and Kostya. Though the beacon is slightly northwest of Solace, natural boundaries in the area will guide you toward it. Upon arrival, you’ll notice a river of lava to your north, with a cave entrance on the opposite side.

Enter the cave and burn through any dense vines you encounter, as these are tougher than usual. Fortunately, the vines also create a path for you to follow, so keep clearing them as you advance. After climbing through the cave, you will emerge on a ledge above the lava river. Move towards the large stone structure next to a withered tree.

Leap across the ledge onto the roof of the structure, and you can enter through a roof opening. Inside, you’ll find a room housing a golden chest. This represents the last Pargrun Cache, as each main region in Avowed contains only one. While you’re in the area, be sure to check just north of the cache to find additional chests full of loot.
