Silent Hill f offers multiple endings, which is common for the series. These different endings give players a reason to replay the game, with each one providing a slightly different experience and adding more details to the overall mystery of Ebisugaoka.
Specifically, Silent Hill f has five endings: four regular ones and a fun UFO joke ending. To see all five, you’ll need to finish the game at least three times. This guide explains what you need to do to unlock each ending without revealing spoilers.
### Ending 1: “Coming Home To Roost”
This is the default ending. You get it automatically the first time you play, no matter what choices you make. In future playthroughs, you’ll see this ending only if you don’t meet the conditions for any other endings. So, it’s unlikely to see this more than once unless you intentionally aim for it.
### Ending 2: “Fox’s Wedding” (NG+ Exclusive)
This ending is only available during a New Game Plus. After beating the game once, start a new game and avoid using Red Capsules (they restore health and sanity). You also need to either find and purify the Sacred Sword or skip picking it up entirely.
To unlock this, you’ll go on a side quest involving Jizo Shrines where you leave offerings to find and retrieve the Sacred Sword. This process takes some time and careful exploration, including visiting five specific shrines and completing additional tasks like solving puzzles and gathering items.
### Ending 3: “The Fox Wets Its Tail” (Don’t Purify)
This is a different NG+ ending. To get it, do not purify the Sacred Sword after acquiring it. Instead, you leave the sword unclean and avoid completing certain side quests involving purification. This ending involves a different set of choices within the game, and once achieved, it can be viewed without restarting the whole game if you’ve previously completed “Fox’s Wedding.”
### Ending 4: “Ebisugaoka In Silence” (NG+2 Exclusive)
This ending requires you to have completed at least two other endings, then start an NG+2 save. During this playthrough, you must find and purify the Sacred Sword, then also offer a Brooch at a specific statue. This ending is considered one of the true endings and includes an additional final boss, making it a worthwhile but more challenging experience.
### Ending 5: “The Great Space Invasion!”
This is a fun, non-canonical ending that involves special steps like listening to a radio broadcast and finding specific posters related to a sci-fi series. It’s the easiest ending to unlock and is more for fun than story significance. It’s considered a “non-full” ending because it skips most of the story content.

Each ending plays a significant role in the narrative and lore of Silent Hill f. While not necessary to experience all, unlocking them adds depth to the story and enhances your overall experience. Happy exploring!
