March 2026 is an exciting time for Pokémon GO players, as the game celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise with a series of special events. One of the biggest changes is related to Ditto disguises, which have been a consistent part of the game—until now. During the “Pokémon 30th Anniversary: All Out” event, Ditto’s disguises will be changing, allowing players to discover new Pokémon it has transformed into.
The event kicks off on March 7, 2026, and wraps up quickly on March 9, 2026. The main point of this event is that Pokémon GO is bringing back almost every Pokémon that has ever appeared in the game, with a few exceptions. This will likely cause Ditto to assume new disguises, or possibly revert to old ones, after the event ends.
### All Ditto Disguises in Pokémon GO (March 2026)
While it’s tempting to hunt down the wider variety of Pokémon Ditto can disguise itself as during this special event, it’s important to remember that for most of the month, Ditto will still use certain familiar Pokémon as cover. Throughout March, Ditto will always have a chance to appear as these 11 Pokémon, no matter what new disguises are introduced temporarily:
– Growlithe (Fire-type)
– Magnemite (Electric/Steel-type)
– Voltorb (Electric-type)
– Sentret (Normal-type)
– Surskit (Water/Bug-type)
– Teddiursa (Normal-type)
– Seedot (Grass-type)
– Slakoth (Normal-type)
– Whismur (Normal-type)
– Duskull (Ghost-type)
– Mankey (Fighting-type)
Although these Pokémon aren’t the rarest in the game, their spawn rates vary depending on the environment or time of day. For example, Duskull is more common at night. To increase your chances of finding Ditto in disguise, try exploring areas where these Pokémon often appear.
### How to Increase Your Chances of Finding Ditto
Ditto is a Pokémon that you’ll want to find repeatedly because catching multiple Dittos will help you farm Candy to strengthen your strongest one. While you can’t use Dittos directly in trainer battles, they’re very useful in raids and gym battles for experienced players. The best way to increase your chances of finding Ditto is by using special in-game items like Lure Modules or Incense. These boost spawn rates, making it more likely for you to encounter Dittos or Pokémon that could be disguised as Ditto.
Certain routes or areas with high spawn rates of common Pokémon may also help you find more Dittos, but it’s not guaranteed how many of the disguised Pokémon will show up in specific locations.
Finding shiny Dittos is even more challenging—there’s only a 1 in 64 chance of encountering a shiny Ditto among regular Dittos. Because Ditto’s disguises are unpredictable, it might take anywhere from 10 to 50 encounters to find a shiny, and only 1.5% of Dittos will be shiny.
Playing with other players can also help. Multiple people using items to boost spawn rates increases everyone’s chances. The increased appearance of various disguises during the 30th anniversary event, along with more Kanto Pokémon spawning in the wild, should make it easier to find Dittos in big numbers during March 2026.
### Final Tips
At the start of the month, you might see a lot of Dittos, but this will likely decrease after the event ends. To maximize your collection, try to use your items early in the event when the chances are highest. This period is probably the best opportunity in many months to find and catch multiple Dittos, especially with the expanded disguises available during the celebration.
Good luck hunting!
