Persona 5 Royal clearly states that you’ll need some money to boost your thieving skills. While you earn cash by defeating shadows in the Metaverse, working at Triple Seven is a great way to make extra yen the old-fashioned way.
This optional part-time job has Joker working at a busy Shibuya convenience store, where you’ll look for barcodes, handle busy shifts, and get rewards like cash, skill boosts, confidant points, and more. If you want to know everything about working at Triple Seven, this guide will help.
Updated on April 11, 2026: Since Triple Seven is one of the best ways to earn money early in the game, especially before diving into dungeons, we’re updating this guide to help you level up faster and find barcode locations quickly.
How To Get A Job At Triple Seven
Before jumping into work there, let’s go over the basics and how to unlock the job. You learn about part-time jobs in the game when Morgana suggests applying on April 18.
To start, Joker must go to the Underground Passage in Shibuya and check out a job magazine. Use your map and look for the yen symbol to find a bright blue magazine rack with pamphlets about available jobs.
In the beginning, three jobs are available, but since Joker can’t go out at night initially, only Triple Seven and Rafflesia Flower Shop are accessible. You’ll need at least a Charm rank of 2, so working at Triple Seven early on is a smart way to earn some yen and boost stats.
Going To Work At Triple Seven
The Triple Seven store is located in Shibuya Central Street near the movie theater. Because Shibuya is a busy district in Tokyo, expect this part-time job to be quite lively.
The job is available both in the afternoon and evening, any day of the week, which makes it easy to fit into your busy schedule, especially once nighttime restrictions are lifted in the game. Both shifts pay the same, but busier days may offer a bonus.
Mementos Requests From Triple Seven
Work at Triple Seven can help unlock side quests in Mementos. For example, by working three shifts between April 18 and August 11, you qualify for the quest called “Calling for Justice for Cats.”
Complete this quest by August 11, and Mishima will give it to you. The reward is the Blood Scimitar, a new weapon for Morgana.
Scan Specific Barcode Locations For A Bonus
During busy shifts, your coworker may ask you to find barcode locations on certain items. If Joker finds the barcode on the first try, you’ll earn a bonus, making your shift more profitable. Both correct and incorrect guesses yield rewards, so pay attention!

Use Triple Seven To Earn Money, Boost Charm, And See Confidants
Working at Triple Seven not only earns you yen but also helps boost your Charm and allows you to gain Confidant points.
Your base pay per shift is ¥3,500, but this can fluctuate based on how you handle busy days. If you manage a busy shift well, you’ll earn around ¥3,800; if not, your pay might drop to about ¥2,300.
It’s an easy way to raise your Charm early in the game—working here grants 2 Charm points plus your daily earnings.
On days ending with the number seven, your pay increases to ¥7,400, and you’ll earn 3 Charm points—a great bonus.
During your shift, friends might visit you, giving you a chance to earn extra Confidant points. Keep in mind, your Confidant progress depends on having started their Arcana outside of work hours, or they won’t visit at Triple Seven.
This straightforward job offers a solid way to make money quickly, improve your Charm, and build Confidants—all while fitting neatly into your daily schedule.
