Beyond the main storyline of Hollow Knight: Silksong, there are many hidden areas and secret spots that contain rare items. You can discover some of these through side quests called wishes, but some wishes require grinding in specific zones.
One such wish is called Fine Pins. It spans the Choral Chambers area, but there’s an easy way to complete it if you know what enemies to look for.
How to Get the Fine Pins Wish
If you’re after an easy wish that rewards you with a lot of Rosaries, Fine Pins is perfect. However, you’ll need to progress pretty far in the game first. To start this quest, you first have to unlock the Choral Chambers. This requires defeating the Last Judge boss and then proceeding through the Underworks.
Once you return to the Choral Chambers, head to the right side of the biome and climb upwards to find the next boss fight. Before entering the fight, clear the silk around the bell in the top right section of the biome. Doing this unlocks the Songclave area.
Tip: Clearing the silk also spawns a bench nearby, giving you a save point.
After unlocking the Songclave, you can receive the Fine Pins quest from the wish board there.
Where to Find Fine Pins
To find Fine Pins, search for two specific enemies in the Choral Chambers area: Reed and Choristor. Both enemies hold a pin in their hands, and they can be found crawling around this zone.
- The Reed is a flying creature that primarily uses melee attacks but can also throw its pin at you. It can sometimes parry your blows and then counterattack.
- The Choristor appears more like a knight; it stays on the ground, attacking with both melee and ranged moves. It can also leap at you while spinning to inflict damage.
If you’re lucky, defeating either of these enemies will cause them to drop a Fine Pin. The item is not guaranteed, but you’ll recognize it when it drops — there will be a bright white glow on the enemy’s body and falling ground particles. Move toward the glow and pick up your shiny new Fine Pin.
Tip: A good place to farm these enemies is the Grand Bellway, where you can reset them using a nearby bench. Just outside the Bellway, you’ll find a Choristor first, followed by a Reed a little further along.
