Hubs have always played an important role in the Monster Hunter series. Taking time to assemble your team, enjoy meals, and prepare your gear is essential for a successful hunt. In Monster Hunter Wilds, this format gets a twist with the introduction of Pop-Up Camps, which significantly alters the gameplay experience.
While these Pop-Up Camps are fantastic and conveniently placed, they can’t be set up just anywhere. There are designated areas for them, and the Scarlet Forest boasts several hidden spots. Below, you’ll find all the locations and a guide on which ones are the best to establish.
What Are Pop-Up Camps?
Pop-Up Camps function similarly to your camp back at base, minus the helpful NPCs. You can enjoy meals, restock your supplies, switch your gear, and even change your appearance. There’s a little bit of everything here, and Alma is there to assist, ensuring you stay on track with your quests.
There are two ways to establish Pop-Up Camps:
- Talk to the specific Felyne at each Base Camp to set up your Pop-Up Camps at locations you’ve discovered through a menu.
- Use the Pop-Up Camp Kit in the field at designated spots to summon a group of Felynes that will instantly assemble the camp.
If you’ve maxed out your slots for a region, you can only create Pop-Up Camps back at Base Camp.
It’s worth noting that monsters are not fond of Pop-Up Camps invading their territory and will destroy any they encounter. These camps will gradually repair themselves over time, or you can spend Guild Points to fix them immediately.
How Many Pop-Up Camps Are in the Scarlet Forest?
The Scarlet Forest is vast, and while it doesn’t feature as many camps as the Windward Plains, there are plenty of options for its size. Fortunately, many camps can be found hiding in plain sight.
In total, there are ten Pop-Up Camp locations in the Scarlet Forest. Some might feel clustered because the terrain is multi-leveled. Be sure to strategically choose your camps based on their actual visibility and positioning.
