While the excitement of capturing the best Pals and engaging in epic battles in Palworld is appealing, the game incorporates essential survival and crafting elements. Simply assembling a team of the mightiest Pals won’t suffice as you advance; you’ll also need to enhance your equipment.

That’s why creating top-notch gear is vital. Additionally, developing new technologies at your base to optimize production is essential. However, some crafting materials, like Dark Fragment, are challenging to come by, and cannot be produced through standard means. This guide will explore how to obtain the elusive Dark Fragment.

How To Get Dark Fragment

Dark Fragment can only be sourced from certain Pals. There are no alternative ways to obtain this material other than farming it from these Pals, all of which can be found on Feybreak Island, located in the southwestern section of your map.

Since the Pals on Feybreak Island are mostly over level 50, you’ll need to prepare thoroughly due to the presence of anti-aircraft missiles. Below is a table detailing which Pals can drop Dark Fragments and where to find them on Feybreak Island:

Dazzi Noct			Dazzi Noct can only be found in the lava pools on the eastern side of Feybreak Island. The Alpha Boss version is also located on Feybreak Island. To find it, travel northwest from the Feybreak Tower Entrance fast travel point at (-1343, -1580).
Starryon			Starryon appears at night in the crimson and purple soil regions of Feybreak Island. The Alpha Boss version can be found in the northeastern area of the island. To locate it, travel northeast from the Scorched Island fast travel point, at coordinates (-756, -941).
Omascul			Omascul can be spotted in the southern region of Feybreak Island, where the soil is purple. To find the Alpha Boss version, travel southwest from The Oculus Gate’s Tower in Sight fast travel point at coordinates (-1183, -1488).
Splatterina			Splatterina appears only at night on Feybreak Island, except in the lighter coastal areas to the north and west, and the orange-soil regions to the east. The Alpha Boss Splatterina is also found on Feybreak Island at coordinates (-1209, -1326). To reach it, go south of Scorched Hill and enter the Bloodstained Tunnel at coordinates (-1210, -1387).

In addition, farming the Alpha Boss versions of these Pals can yield Dark Fragments. Many Pals that drop Dark Fragments spawn at night, so venturing out during these hours is strategic. Starting from the Oculus Gate, Tower in Sight fast travel point, and setting a farming route southwest is recommended.

To maximize your Dark Fragment collection, instead of defeating these Pals, capture them. Then, you can process the captured Pals using a Meat Cleaver or a Pal Disassembly Conveyor. This method will result in a greater yield of Dark Fragments compared to simply defeating them.

To enhance your chances in battles against Dark-element Pals, be sure to bring along Dragon-type Pals. Their elemental advantage will help you overcome these challenges more efficiently.
