A PS5 action game set for release in 2025, King of Meat, is shutting down just six months after its launch, according to an announcement from Amazon Games. Released in October, this colorful cooperative combat game developed by Glowmade unfortunately didn’t manage to attract a large player base.
King of Meat has already been removed from all digital storefronts, including the PlayStation Store. The game’s servers are scheduled to go offline on April 9, exactly six months after release. Anyone who purchased the game is eligible for a full refund.
“While Glowmade brought creativity and originality to King of Meat, unfortunately, the game didn’t find the audience we had hoped for,” Amazon Games stated. “As a result, we’ve made the tough decision to end our support for the game, and the servers will close on April 9, 2026. Players will still be able to access and enjoy all current content until that time, so we encourage everyone to make the most of the remaining days with fellow Contenders.”
PS5 users don’t need to take any action to get their refunds. Amazon Games has assured players that refunds will be automatically processed by the platform holders in the coming weeks. If you don’t see your refund by early April, be sure to contact PlayStation support for assistance.
