A potential compatibility update for the PS4 and PS Vita open-world game Roundabout could be on the horizon, as its developer has expressed interest in addressing issues that have prevented its availability on current-generation consoles. Released in 2015, Roundabout offers a distinctive mix of genres, combining driving gameplay with puzzle-solving and full-motion video.
Roundabout has been plagued by a persistent bug that prevents players from unlocking one of its trophies, hindering 100% completion. Despite efforts from the community over time to resolve this issue, it has remained unresolved.
Tyler Treese, a trophy enthusiast at PlayStation LifeStyle, recently reached out to the game’s developer, No Goblin, with a potential fix discovered by players. In response, No Goblin confirmed their interest in making Roundabout compatible with the PS5. They also mentioned that once the game is re-released on the console, they plan to implement a quick fix for the trophy bug.
It’s important to note that PS4 owners can still access and play Roundabout on the PS5, and the game remains available for purchase on last-gen platforms. However, it has been temporarily removed from the PS5 store due to ongoing compatibility concerns.
Roundabout is a quirky driving game that combines puzzle elements and live-action video sequences, earning a dedicated following over the years.
