Finastra has announced the appointment of Andrew Bateman as its new Executive Vice President of Lending. In this key role, Andrew will lead the expansion and management of Finastra’s Lending Business Unit.

Andrew shared his excitement about joining Finastra, emphasizing his eagerness to collaborate with the team, clients, and partners to enhance their technology modernization initiatives.

He also highlighted Finastra’s Open Finance strategy, expressing confidence in the company’s solutions, especially in the realms of generative AI, cloud infrastructure, and API development.

Bringing nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services sector, Andrew offers a rich background in steering global teams through technological upgrades while prioritizing technical adaptability to meet customer growth goals.

Additionally, Andrew is dedicated to fostering inclusion, diversity, and sustainability within the industry. He is a strong proponent of workplace well-being and advocates for transparent communication.

Before joining Finastra, Andrew served as Head of Sales for Corporates and International Banking at FIS. He will be based in London, leveraging his vast experience to strengthen Finastra’s operations in the UK capital.
