Xpeng Motors, a prominent Chinese electric vehicle startup, has announced plans to introduce several new models in Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia.
Partnering with Swedish mobility company Hedin Mobility Group, Xpeng will launch its new G6 and G9 models in Switzerland. These vehicles are scheduled to start manufacturing in Europe later this quarter. The company also plans to roll out the P7+ model in the first half of 2026.
Regarding its sales network, Xpeng and Hedin will initially operate from Hedin’s dealership in Dielsdorf and gradually expand a comprehensive sales and service infrastructure across Switzerland. As part of this expansion, seven existing Hedin locations will be upgraded to serve as Xpeng brand retail and service centers.
The brand will also enter the Austrian market in October, utilizing an authorized dealer model that has proven successful in Germany. The initial network will include major cities such as Vienna, Salzburg, Graz, and Klagenfurt, with plans to grow to 10 locations this year and reach 20 by the end of 2024.
Additionally, Xpeng aims to establish a presence in Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia. Operations in these countries will be managed through a joint venture formed by AutoWallis Group and Salvador Caetano Group, further expanding the company’s footprint in Southeastern Europe.
