Famous Barbadian singer Rihanna recently made headlines after her Los Angeles residence in Beverly Hills was targeted by gunfire. Authorities disclosed that the suspect, identified as a woman, was detained following the incident.
According to reports from the Los Angeles Times, police discovered casings from an assault rifle after the 30-year-old woman drove her vehicle outside Rihanna’s property and discharged at least ten rounds before fleeing. Witnesses confirmed that Rihanna was inside the house during the shooting.
Woman Taken into Custody After Shooting at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills Home
In a tweet, authorities confirmed that multiple gunshots were fired toward Rihanna’s residence in Beverly Hills. Los Angeles Police Department officers reported that one woman had been apprehended in relation to the shooting.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported. The police located the woman’s vehicle, a white Tesla, approximately 7.5 miles (12 kilometers) from Rihanna’s home. LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias stated, “When the suspect was pulled over and taken into custody, officers conducted a search of the vehicle and found an assault rifle along with seven shell casings.” Additional evidence included bullet holes at Rihanna’s gate and in an RV parked nearby.
