Digital Phablet – Fans of Turkish dramas are wondering whether new episodes will pause during the holy month of Ramadan.
Ramadan 2026 has already begun in many countries, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE, on Wednesday, with Turkey starting the observance on Thursday.
Will Turkish TV series take a break during Ramadan?
It’s important to highlight that millions of Arab viewers eagerly follow Turkish dramas, anticipating new episodes every week. However, Ramadan is also a period rich with numerous local and regional series, which can sometimes lead to a decrease in the viewership of Turkish shows.
Currently, several Turkish series are highly popular across the region, including titles like “Güller ve Günahlar,” “Kıskanmak,” “Uzak Şehir,” “Taşacak Bu Deniz,” and “Yeraltı.” Despite their popularity, there have been no official announcements about changes to the broadcasting schedules for these shows during Ramadan. This suggests that new episodes may continue to air as usual.
“Güller ve Günahlar” stars Mina Akdin and Murat Yıldırım.
