The Montazah II Prosecution Office in Alexandria has launched an investigation into the death of Egyptian actress Nevin Mandour, renowned for her role in the popular film “Elli Bali Balak,” who passed away on Wednesday morning.
Local Egyptian media reports indicate that 68-year-old Nevin Mandour succumbed to a massive fire that engulfed her fourth-floor apartment in the Asafra district. According to preliminary investigations, the actress inhaled a significant amount of smoke before emergency responders arrived. Meanwhile, her husband was able to escape through a window and subsequently called for assistance from neighbors.
There are conflicting reports about the cause of the fire, with some suggesting it may have been deliberate. The actress’s assistant has publicly hinted at a possible criminal act, alleging that her husband might have been responsible for igniting the fire in an attempt to take her money. The assistant further stated that only her husband was inside the apartment at the time of the incident and has informed the Actors Syndicate to investigate, believing her death was not accidental.
