The daughter of Academy Award-winning actor Tommy Lee Jones has passed away, her family announced on Friday night.
Authorities reported the discovery of a woman named Victoria Jones at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco on Thursday. They are still investigating the cause of her death.
A spokesperson for Tommy Lee Jones issued a statement from Victoria’s family in response to inquiries about her passing: “Thank you for all the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
The San Francisco Fire Department responded just before 3 a.m. on Thursday to 950 Mason Street, the location of the Fairmont Hotel, for a medical emergency.
Paramedics found the individual deceased. Authorities called in police and the medical examiner to investigate further.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner later confirmed the individual was Victoria Jones, age 34. The cause of death remains undisclosed.
The San Francisco Fairmont Hotel released a statement expressing their deep sadness regarding an incident at the hotel on January 1, 2026. They also noted their cooperation with police investigations.
The police responded slowly to requests for additional details.
Victoria Jones is the daughter of Tommy Lee Jones and Kimberlea Cloughley; they are divorced. She was known to have played with her father during childhood and teenage years, including appearances in “Men in Black II.”
Tommy Lee Jones, aged 79, received an Oscar for his supporting role in “The Fugitive” in 1994. His filmography includes notable titles such as “Lincoln,” “JFK,” and “No Country for Old Men.”
