Digital Phablet reports that U.S. filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Reiner, were discovered deceased inside their residence in Southern California.
The family’s spokesperson confirmed their passing, describing Rob Reiner, a legendary Hollywood director aged 78, and his wife as having died. “This sudden loss leaves us devastated,” they expressed.
According to a law enforcement official, a family member visited the Reiner residence on Sunday and found two individuals unresponsive.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris expressed her condolences, stating, “Rob Reiner’s influence has touched countless Americans across generations. The characters, conversations, and imagery he created in film and TV are ingrained in our culture.”
She further added, “Rob loved his country, was deeply committed to the future of our nation, and was a staunch supporter of American democracy.”

Before stepping behind the camera, Rob Reiner began his career as an actor. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Mike “Meathead” Stivic on the CBS sitcom All in the Family, a performance that earned him two Primetime Emmy Awards.
