DIGITAL PHABLET – A recent incident at a Coldplay concert went viral after the kiss cam caught Astronomer CEO Andy Byron with HR head Kristin Cabot in a compromising position. This sparked a game developer to create a pixel-art game called Coldplay Canoodlers, inspired by the moment.
The kiss cam captured many couples enjoying the concert until it zoomed in on Byron and Cabot, creating a tense vibe among concertgoers and the band. Coldplay’s lead vocalist humorously remarked that the duo looked either “shy” or “up to no good.”
This cringeworthy situation quickly circulated on social media, leading to an explosion of memes, humorous commentary, and ultimately the development of Coldplay Canoodlers by game designer and musician Johnathan Mann.
Coldplay Canoodlers: A Game Inspired by the Scandal
Mann shared on X (formerly Twitter):
“I created a little game titled Coldplay Canoodlers.”
In this game, players take on the role of a camera operator tasked with finding the CEO and HR lady canoodling for points—10 points each time they’re spotted.
He also posted a link to play the game.
The game was featured by numerous prominent media outlets such as Dexerto, Forbes, and Kotaku, drawing millions of views across platforms like TikTok and X.
Mann expressed his amazement at the traction the game received, stating, “It’s trending all over TikTok!” He noted that a post from Dexerto alone received over eight million views.
