DIGITAL PHABLET – Controversial streamer and content creator Sam Pepper was banned on Kick after live footage showed him nearly blinding an Indian child by shooting fireworks at them in New Delhi, India.
Pepper, who is visiting India for the second time, was participating in a Diwali celebration where multiple people were seen shooting fireworks at each other, sparking widespread safety concerns on social media.
During the event, the streamer aimed a firework stick at the crowd, and the shot struck a child. Sam Pepper exclaimed, “Oh my God, oh my God, Headshot! Bro, that’s crazy!” A man from India then approached Pepper and informed him that the fireworks had hit a child and that they had lost one of their eyes as a result.

Pepper responded to the man, claiming that another group was shooting fireworks at them as well, and he believed they were just playing around.
A user on X (formerly Twitter) commented, “Can we just ban streamers like this, all of them? The blatant disregard for others’ safety and not taking responsibility is messed up.”
Another person added, “Sounds like the kid should sue him for every cent he’s got.”
When visiting his Kick account, users encountered a message stating “Oops, something went wrong,” indicating that he was likely suspended or banned from the platform.
In response to the controversy, Pepper posted on X denying that the child lost their sight. He stated, “I was in India tonight with a large group, firing small firecrackers back and forth at each other. It now seems stupid to say this. But one of the other group members got hit by a firecracker I shot, and they got a cut above their eyebrow.”
He continued, “I feel terrible. We sent someone with them to get checked out, and all costs were covered. They received a paper stitch and are now back home.”
Known for his provocative prank videos and unpredictable online antics, Sam Pepper faced allegations of sexual misconduct from multiple women in 2014. He denied all claims, and authorities ultimately did not pursue the case further, citing a lack of cooperation from the victims, according to the BBC.
