In addition, a French-Moroccan woman accused him of assaulting her in Casablanca in 2017. Furthermore, in 2023, the singer was sentenced in France to six years in prison for sexually assaulting and physically assaulting a young woman at a hotel in Paris in 2016.
### Saad Lamjarred Faces Trial on French Sexual Assault Charges
On Monday, the Moroccan singer will appear before a court in southeastern France on charges of raping a waitress in 2018, allegations the artist strongly denies. He will be released on bail, with the court session scheduled at the “Draguignan” courthouse.
Despite the ongoing charges, Lamjarred remains free until proven guilty. The alleged incident took place at a bar in Saint-Tropez, with the singer denying the claim of sexual misconduct. The verdict is expected to be announced on Thursday following the hearing. The victim’s attorney described her ordeal as “a night of horror” and emphasized that she has patiently awaited justice for seven years.
According to her account, she met Lamjarred at a nightclub without initially recognizing his fame. After learning of his successful career, she agreed to join him for a drink at his hotel. She claims that he then took her to his room and assaulted her, though Lamjarred alleges that their interactions were consensual.
