ALBAWABA – The collaboration between Nike and Kim Kardashian’s Skims has been postponed indefinitely due to a variety of production challenges.
As reported by Bloomberg, the eagerly anticipated launch of NikeSkims is now on hold, leaving customers awaiting the chance to achieve that signature Kardashian look in limbo.
A source close to the situation mentioned on Wednesday that NikeSkims is facing production set-backs.
In a post on X from February, Kardashian, who holds the title of co-founder and chief creative officer at Skims, characterized NikeSkims as “a new brand debuting this spring for the body-conscious.”

Nike’s CEO, Elliott Hill, disclosed in March that the first “complete collection” from this new line was expected to be launched during the fiscal quarter ending in May.
An undisclosed insider informed Bloomberg that the new brand is still projected to debut later this year.
The collaboration aims to include training apparel, footwear, and accessories specifically tailored to the unique needs of female athletes globally, as indicated in a February Nike news release.
The press release highlighted, “This new brand bridges SKIMS’ commitment to enhancing the female form with NIKE, Inc.’s expertise in innovation, sports science, and athlete insights.”
At that time, Nike also announced plans for a “global rollout” in 2026, with the inaugural collection expected to debut domestically in the spring.
However, the exact launch date for the first collection and its international line remains uncertain, along with the specifics of the apparel to be featured.
In a February press release, Kardashian emphasized that “Nike and SKIMS are dedicated to innovation, inclusivity, and breaking new ground, all driven by a deep belief in empowering women.”
“This collaboration embodies that shared vision, delivering products meticulously designed to sculpt and perform for every body type,” she affirmed. Every aspect of the line has been carefully considered and attended to.
