Digital Phablet – Fans of One Piece are celebrating today! Netflix revealed an exclusive first look at the upcoming second season of its live-action adaptation, offering fans a sneak peek of what’s ahead, including new characters in action and an exciting new storyline.
The announcement was made during the annual One Piece celebration held in Tokyo, Japan, where several new characters were introduced. Notable appearances included Captain Smoker, Robin, Brogy, Miss Wednesday, and Miss All Sunday. The teaser also included a surprise announcement — the production of a third season has been officially confirmed.
Interestingly, Chopper was not featured in the trailer. However, he was teased later in a character spot during Netflix’s recent Tudum event.

According to Netflix, production for the third season is scheduled to kick off later this year in Cape Town, South Africa.
Returning cast members include Iñaki Godoy (Luffy), Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji), all reprising their roles.
Entitled “Into the Grand Line,” the official synopsis reads:
“Netflix’s epic sea adventure, ‘One Piece,’ is back for Season 2 — bringing more dangerous adversaries and the most perilous quests yet. Luffy and the Straw Hats embark on a voyage to the legendary Grand Line, a treacherous stretch of ocean filled with incredible dangers and wonders. As they navigate this unpredictable realm in search of the world’s greatest treasure, they will encounter bizarre islands and powerful new enemies.”
This live-action adaptation will depict iconic moments from Eiichiro Oda’s bestselling manga, including the Arabasta Saga. The release date has not been announced, but fans can expect the second season to premiere on Netflix in 2026.
