The “Layl” series is set to return shortly, as announced by Syrian actor Mahmoud Nsr in a video message. He shared a clip with fans, stating, “We’re back to continue our story. Stay tuned for us on MBC 1.” The video’s caption declared, “Make way… Najm is back! 😉 The “Layl” series premieres on March 23rd, airing Sunday through Thursday at 8 PM Saudi Arabia time on MBC1.”
It’s important to note that the series was halted at episode 33 just before Ramadan began and will resume broadcasting the Monday after Eid al-Fitr. The show is adapted from the Turkish drama “Safirin Kizi” (The Ambassador’s Daughter).
The main cast includes Mahmoud Nasr as Najm, Carmen Bsaibes as Ward, Wissam Fares as Basem, Sabah Jazairi as Hind, Joe Trad as Nawras, Hala Rajab as Rana, Aleko Daoud as Jamal, Yazan Khalil as Nabil, Reem Nasr El-Din as Haya, Marah Hassan as Jana, Lia Mbardi as Abeer, and Farah Bitar as Rula.
The story revolves around the romantic relationship of an ambassador’s daughter and a less privileged man, separated by life’s circumstances, only to reconnect years later and rekindle their love. Having premiered on the MBC Shahid platform on January 4 at 8 PM local time in Saudi Arabia, the series has been regularly airing from Sunday to Thursday since then. Once Ramadan concludes, the show will continue its run.
The series remains a captivating adaptation from its Turkish origin, promising viewers more of its compelling narrative after the festive season.
