A trailer for “Heya Kimya” has been unveiled, set to air on MBC Egypt during Ramadan 2026. The plot centers around Sultan, a doctor whose life takes a dramatic turn when he discovers that his half-brother is involved in drug trafficking. Following this revelation, Sultan finds himself caught in a series of challenging situations that are both humorous and exasperating.
The promotional footage offers glimpses into the show’s narrative, promising a distinctive tone that combines dark comedy, satirical irony, and heartfelt moments. The cast also features Diab alongside Mostafa Gharieb.
Mostafa Gharieb portrays Sultan, a man whose otherwise ordinary life is upended after the death of his father. The shocking discovery of a brother he never knew he had sets off a chain of events filled with tension and unexpected twists.
The character of Hajjaj al-Qatt, Sultan’s half-brother involved in the drug trade, is played by actor Diab. Their tumultuous relationship escalates to fights and bizarre incidents, especially after a murder complicates matters further. With Hajjaj pressuring Sultan to assist in drug manufacturing, Sultan faces morally difficult choices that blend humor with seriousness.
The series features an ensemble cast including Mariam al-Jundi, Farah Youssef, Michel Milad, and others. The project was written by Mohab Tariq, directed by Islam Khairy, and produced by Abdullah Abu al-Futouh, showcasing high-quality acting, writing, and production values.
