Digital Phablet – Renowned Egyptian actor Lotfy Labib has passed away after a prolonged battle with illness at the age of 77, according to reports Monday.
The Actors Syndicate announced via Facebook the sad news of his passing, stating, “The Actors Syndicate mourns deeply the loss of the esteemed artist Lotfy Labib.”
The statement continued: “Led by Dr. Ashraf Zaki and our Board of Directors, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, praying for God’s mercy upon him and granting patience and strength to his loved ones. We belong to God, and to Him we shall return.”
Yesterday, Ashraf Zaki, head of the Actor’s Syndicate in Egypt, announced a sudden decline in Lotfy Labib’s health. Close sources to the actor explained that he is currently experiencing a critical health condition that necessitates constant medical supervision, urging fans to keep him in their prayers for a quick recovery.
Regional media confirmed that approximately seven years ago, Lotfy Labib suffered a stroke that resulted in partial paralysis on the left side of his body, leading him to step back from his acting career. However, as his condition improved through ongoing physical therapy, he gradually resumed occasional appearances in various television and film projects.
