Digital Phablet – Lebanese journalist Youmna Sherry, a cherished voice on Future TV, has passed away.
Following a prolonged illness, Youmna Sherry, who was a prominent figure on Future TV and left a significant impression with her composed demeanor and professional presence, has died. She was widely recognized within the Lebanese media community.
Youmna, who spent several years living in Canada, succumbed after a lengthy battle with cancer. Her friends and colleagues mourn her loss deeply.
People on social media shared the heartbreaking news, with many media professionals expressing their shock and sorrow through heartfelt messages.
Nishan tweeted: “Sad news. Youmna Sherry has passed away. The friend, companion, and journalist who shone brightly on Future TV and in our hearts. The ‘moon at the door’ has gone. My heart is heavy. May God have mercy on her. May her family be patient.”
Karen Salama, who previously worked with her at Future TV, wrote, “You are a piece of my memory.” She recalled her initial ambition to emulate Youmna’s innovative work, long before it became mainstream. She fondly described Youmna as having the kindest heart and the most beautiful soul. “It’s been an honor knowing you as a colleague and a friend. Rest in peace, Youmna. May you find eternal peace in heaven.”
