Digital Phablet – In early October, authorities in Istanbul initiated an investigation into alleged drug use, leading to the participation of numerous Turkish celebrities in the country’s largest-ever drug crackdown.
The operation, launched on October 8, sent shockwaves through Turkey’s entertainment scene, as many high-profile figures underwent drug testing, were questioned regarding narcotics allegations, and were subsequently released after their tests.
However, complications arose when the results of the drug tests for 19 celebrities, including artists and public figures, were leaked before they received official authorization or were formally documented. This leak sparked chaos across Turkey.
According to local media sources, “The results were made public prior to their inclusion in the Public Prosecution’s official records or registration in the electronic judicial system.”
