Digital Phablet – Kristin Cabot has filed for divorce from her husband. She rose to fame after sharing a kiss with her boss at a Coldplay event.
In July, Kristin gained widespread attention when she appeared at a Coldplay concert, embraced by Andy Byron, the former CEO of Astronomer. However, reports indicate that she and her husband, Andrew Cabot, have been experiencing marriage difficulties for some time.
There has been no news of a breakup between Andy Byron and his wife Megan, although she has removed “Byron” from her social media last name.
According to reports, Kristin Cabot, formerly an HR executive at Astronomer, initiated divorce proceedings against her husband, Andrew Cabot. In a separate interview with the Daily Mail, Julia painted a negative picture of Andrew, Kristin’s ex-husband, describing him as “not a nice person.” She added, “Something bad has happened to him,” noting that she received many messages with the word “karma” after the incident, implying “you get what you give.”
Stephanie commented that Andrew hails from a “Boston Brahmin” family, one of the most prestigious upper-class lineages in the state. She mentioned, “His ego is overinflated” and likely unaffected by the situation. “The only thing he’s upset about is embarrassment,” she added.
The media reports that Andrew and Kristin tried mediation to save their marriage, but it didn’t seem effective. Julia remarked, “I wouldn’t say he’s husband material, but she doesn’t seem like wife material either.”
When Kristin went to see Coldplay at Gillette Stadium in Boston this July, she intended to have a good time with Andy Byron, who was her former boss. Unbeknownst to her, her life was about to change dramatically. During the event, a kiss cam captured her seemingly in Andy’s arms, a moment they appeared eager to hide by ducking away from the camera. However, the footage had already gone viral.
Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin joked about their attempt to conceal it, saying, “Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy,” revealing that they were indeed engaged in an affair. Following the incident, Andy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer, resigned, and Kristin, who was the company’s HR manager, took a leave of absence before also stepping down. At the time, Andrew, CEO of Privateer Rum, was on a business trip to Japan.
The incident caused widespread media attention. US Weekly reported that someone close to the couple was “blindsided” to find many reporters waiting outside their home in Rye, New Hampshire, where they reside. A source mentioned, “The family claims they’ve been having marriage issues for several months and were contemplating separation — which is surprising, considering they publicly appeared very much in love just a month ago.”
That viral moment on the jumbotron has now led to two individuals losing their jobs and one marriage ending. As for Byron’s future, his marital status remains unclear, but Megan has stopped using his last name on her social profiles, now using her middle name, Kerrigan. She also deleted her Facebook account, which previously featured many photos of her, her husband, and their children.
Reports from the Daily Mail state that she has moved out of their primary residence in Northborough, Massachusetts, into their vacation home in Kennebunkport, Maine, assisted by her family, particularly her older sister Maura. Neither of them has publicly announced a divorce.
The viral incident has significantly impacted their lives, highlighting how a brief moment caught on camera can have lasting consequences.
