Kojima Unveils 'Physint' and 'OD' Trailer, Echoing P.T. Vibes

Legendary Japanese game designer and writer Hideo Kojima has captivated the internet after unveiling a new trailer for his upcoming horror game, “OD,” along with a poster for another stealth action project titled “Physint.” The announcement was made during Kojima Productions’ 10th anniversary celebration and included the reveal of several cast members for Physint, such as Don Lee, Charlee Fraser, and Minami Hambe. The poster depicts a man in a jacket gripping a weapon, with a disfigured hand, hinting at possible special abilities. The character design bears similarities to Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series and Neo from The Matrix.

In addition to Physint, Kojima Productions shared the first-ever trailer for Kojima and Jordan Peele’s new horror game, “OG.” Fans were stunned to find that the game strongly resembled P.T., a first-person horror experience that was canceled after Kojima’s departure from Konami. P.T.’s 2014 interactive teaser remains legendary among horror aficionados for its terrifying, uncanny ambiance, unpredictable gameplay, and excellent sound design. Its cancellation in 2015 left fans deeply disappointed.

Social media users chimed in, with one commenting, “PT LIVES (basically).” Another post read, “Playing this with a heart monitor, lights out, and doors locked.” The upcoming horror title will feature talents Hunter Schafer and Sophia Lillis. Kojima explained on stage that the game will be called “OD: Knock — and indeed,” aptly named since the trailer features spine-chilling knocking sounds throughout its three-minute run. The game’s realistic visuals and haunting atmosphere promise to elevate the horror experience.
