DIGITAL PHABLET – Kerem Bürsin finally comments on the casting choices for the Arabic remake.
Kerem Bürsin has finally shared his thoughts on the Arabic adaptation of his international hit “Sen Çal Kapımı” during an exclusive interview with ET Arabic. The Turkish actor revealed that he wasn’t even aware that the project was in development, making his initial reaction genuine and personal.
It was the interviewer’s announcement about the remake that really caught Bürsin off guard. However, his surprise quickly turned into excitement. Kerem expressed that seeing a story he once brought to life being retold in another language is “fantastic.” He praised the global appeal of the series, emphasizing that a story resonating across different cultures is “remarkable,” and he shared his eagerness to watch the new version once it airs.
Later, the actor was shown a photo of Anas Tayara, who will portray the same role that Kerem originally played. Kerem smiled and responded with humor and humility. “He’s much better than I am,” he said. “I hope he delivers an outstanding performance… and I believe he will.”

When asked about a picture of Haya Maraachli, who will take on the role of Eda — originally played by Hande Erçel — Bürsin was just as gracious. He added, “I hope they both surpass us,” demonstrating his well-known humility and kindness.
Fans also expressed amazement when Kerem casually threw in some Arabic words during the chat. He explained that his childhood in the UAE was the reason. “I lived in Dubai and Abu Dhabi from 1994 to 2000,” he shared. “I attended school there for a few years before moving to other countries.”
Kerem added that experiencing different cultures altered his worldview. “I understand that many of you here are more used to the expat lifestyle,” he said. “But as you grow older, you come to cherish all the places you’ve been and the people you’ve met along the way.”
With his captivating charm, sincerity, and encouraging words for the new cast, Kerem Bürsin once again cemented why he remains one of the most loved celebrities in the region.
