The bond between Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau appears to be quite strong.
The pop star, aged 41, and the former Prime Minister of Canada, aged 53, made their first public appearance together on Saturday, October 25.
According to TMZ, Perry and Trudeau attended a musical performance at Crazy Horse Paris to celebrate the singer’s birthday. Photos obtained by the outlet showed the two smiling and holding hands as they exited the venue.
Perry wore a vibrant red dress for their night out in France, while Trudeau opted for an all-black ensemble to keep it casual. Rumors about their relationship first surfaced after they were spotted on a date in Montreal, Canada, during the summer.
In a tweet, TMZ shared that Perry and Trudeau confirmed their relationship by going out together in Paris to mark Perry’s 45th birthday, with a picture attached.
Perry had recently ended her relationship with Orlando Bloom when they made their first joint public appearance in June. Meanwhile, Trudeau and his wife, Sophie Grégoire, finalized their 18-year marriage in 2023.
The last time Perry and Trudeau were seen together was a few months ago, sharing a kiss and hug aboard a boat off the coast of Santa Barbara in September.
Sources indicate that Trudeau had been pursuing the Grammy-winning artist ever since their dates in Montreal, even flying to California to see her during a break in his tour. A source mentioned, “Their connection is clear. She finds him charming, and he’s been very respectful.”
Katy Perry is currently on her Lifetime Tour around the globe to promote her new album, 143. The tour kicked off in Mexico City in April, and since then, she has traveled extensively across the U.S., Canada, and Australia, meeting fans worldwide.
On her 25th birthday, October 25, Perry shared a humorous Instagram Stories post joking that her mother, Mary Perry, had “released Katy Perry”—comparing it to a new album launch. Earlier this week, she celebrated her zodiac sign by writing, “We have officially entered Scorpio season ♏️🏂.”
Fans can purchase tickets for Perry’s Lifetime Tour, where she’ll perform tracks from her latest album alongside hits from previous records such as “California Gurls,” “I Kissed a Girl,” “Roar,” and “Firework.”
