K-Drama Star Jung Eun-woo Dies at 39

Digital Phablet – Korean drama star Jung Eun-woo, widely recognized for his roles in series like “Bride of the Sun,” passed away on February 11 at the age of 39.

According to the Korea JoongAng Daily, the cause of his death has not been disclosed. A funeral service has been scheduled for this Friday at New Korea Hospital in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province.

Born Jung Dong-jin, Eun-woo entered the Korean drama scene with a role in the third season of Sharp, which aired from 2003 to 2006. He later appeared in popular titles such as Bride of the Sun, One Well-Raised Daughter, and The Return of HWANG GEUM BOK!.

Just a day before his passing, Eun-woo created buzz among fans after sharing a cryptic post on Instagram, titled “Missing, Envious, Regretful.” The post featured three photos: one of himself, one of Hong Kong actor Leslie Cheung (who died by suicide), and one of British singer Amy Winehouse (who died from alcohol poisoning).
