Digital Phablet – Justin Timberlake’s DWI Arrest Video Captures Intense, Chaotic Moments
Although Justin Timberlake initially tried to keep the footage of his DWI arrest under wraps, it has since become public. TMZ released an 18-minute video showing Timberlake undergoing multiple sobriety tests, during which he murmurs, “I’ve never done this before,” and admits, “I’m a little nervous… my heart is pounding.”
At one point, he pauses his conversation to say, “Guys, I’m just following my friends back to my house.” About ten minutes into the footage, he approaches the police officer for help, saying, “Help us. Help.” The officer, confused, responds, “You need assistance?” and then laughs, clarifying, “Just kidding.”
Timberlake then remarks, “By the way, these tests are really difficult,” as he attempts to perform a one-legged stand, which involves holding one leg out. He manages only five seconds before losing balance.
When Timberlake’s friend finds out about his arrest, her shock worsens the situation. She protests, “No, he’s not,” and implores the officers to stop. She is visibly stunned and asks incredulously, “Are you really arresting Justin Timberlake right now?” The officer confirms Timberlake failed every test and will remain detained until the judge reviews his case in the morning. She expresses disbelief, saying, “There’s no way.”
Timberlake, visibly upset, whispers that his friend can drive his car home while he’s seated in the police vehicle. However, he initially refuses to speak with her until she pleads again, “Please help me.”
The video also features a notable moment where Timberlake’s acquaintance, referencing his musical hits, asks—”Could you do me a favor? Because you liked ‘Sexy Back’ or ‘Bye Bye Bye,’”—highlighting some of the awkward, almost surreal exchanges. She begins asking swiftly, “Who’s your lawyer?” and requests, “Name a lawyer for me.”
Throughout, Timberlake remains confused, querying, “Why are you arresting me?” as authorities proceed with their procedures. The entire recording captures a mixture of anxiety, shock, and unintentional humor. His legal team emphasized that the footage demonstrates him in a highly vulnerable state and warns it could cause “severe and irreparable harm” to his reputation.
