Jessie Cave claims that her OnlyFans profile resulted in her being barred from participating in a Harry Potter fan convention. Earlier this year, the actress—known for portraying Lavender Brown in the popular film series—mentioned she started her OnlyFans account to share sensual hair content. She clarified that her page is “not a sexual” account. Despite this, Cave recently shared on her Substack that she remains unauthorized to attend the event.
“I discovered that I wasn’t booked for a Harry Potter convention recently because I am now on OnlyFans,” she explained. “They said it was because it’s a family-oriented show, and OnlyFans is associated with adult content.” She found this reasoning illogical, considering many actors who participate in conventions have been involved in movies and TV shows featuring sex scenes or nudity. “It’s just fun playing with hair,” she added.
Cave feels that she’s been “canceled” by some Harry Potter fans, but she believes it’s time for the new generation to carry on with the beloved story, especially since a TV adaptation is already in production.
“I’m not upset about no longer attending Harry Potter conventions,” she stated. “There will be a new cast, and the timing is different. I’ve been attending conventions for over 15 years, and I have plenty of pictures and memorabilia.”
Reflecting on her career, Cave recalled that in previous years, the proceeds from signing photos of herself were often her primary income. She expressed gratitude for those opportunities but acknowledged that it’s now time to move forward and take on new roles. Since starting with “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” she played Lavender Brown, a character who became more prominent as Ron Weasley’s love interest in that film. She also appeared in “Deathly Hallows: Part 1” and “Part 2.”
In addition, Cave has openly discussed her reasons for creating an OnlyFans account, citing the need to cover her expenses and remodel her new home.
