Jennifer Lopez experienced an unexpected setback during her shopping trip in Istanbul. The day before her highly anticipated concert in the city, she was denied entry to the Chanel store at Istinye Park because it was at full capacity with too many shoppers.
A security guard informed her that the store had reached its maximum occupancy and could not admit any more customers. Despite the situation, Lopez maintained her composure, smiling politely and saying, “Okay, no problem,” before quietly leaving without any fuss.
Rather than returning to the store later, she chose to explore other luxury boutiques nearby, including Celine and Beymen, where she indulged in a lavish shopping spree, spending thousands of dollars.
However, the story didn’t end there. Once the store staff understood what had happened, they made efforts to invite Lopez back inside. She politely declined their offer and continued her shopping excursion at other upscale locations in the area.
Lopez’s trip to Istanbul was part of her “Up All Night: Live in 2025” international tour, during which she had already performed at the Istanbul Festival in Yenikapı Festival Park on August 5. The tour’s final destination will be Sardinia, Italy, with her last show scheduled for August 12.
This marks Lopez’s second visit to Turkey within the current year. She performed earlier in July at the Regnum Carya Resort and even celebrated her birthday there the following day.
In 2024, Jennifer Lopez made her last film appearance in Unstoppable, a biopic directed by William Goldenberg, which also starred Jharrel Jerome, Michael Peña, Don Cheadle, Bobby Cannavale, among others.
