Tomorrow marks the beginning of filming for the highly anticipated series Ayna. Produced by O3 Medya, this new project promises an gripping dystopian narrative featuring some of Turkey’s most acclaimed actors. Initially, the series will be exclusively available on Disney Plus.
At the core of the story are Ibrahim Çelikkol and Aslı Enver. Çelikkol, who delivered compelling performances in Siyah Beyaz Aşk and Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir, will play the character Sarp. Enver, well-known for her roles in İstanbullu Gelin and Babam ve Oğlum, portrays Serra. Fans are already buzzing about their on-screen collaboration and are eagerly awaiting their performances.
Additional cast members include rising star Nilsu Berfin Aktaş, popular for her roles in Gelsin Hayat Bildiği Gibi and Kardeşlerim, who will appear in the role of Ada. Young actress Ülkü Hilal Çiftçi joins as well, captivating audiences despite her youth with her heartfelt performances.
Derya Alabora, an acclaimed Turkish actress known for her award-winning roles in Masumiyet and Denizden Gelen, will play Nükhet, Sarp’s mother. Ushan Çakır, recognized for his performances in Ufak Tefek Cinayetler and Çukur, will portray Sarp’s partner. Their inclusion significantly enhances the project’s credibility and depth.
The series is penned by Serkan Yörük and Ceylan Güleç, with Hülya Gezer directing. Gezer’s notable works include Kadın and O Hayat Benim, demonstrating her talent in crafting emotionally resonant narratives centered on character development.
Ayna is described as a dystopian story because it begins with two women whose lives suddenly change drastically.
